A wonderful restaurant, located In a 19th century house, operated by descendants of original residents. charming dining and wonderful meals. Try the pan seared talapia David. Best ever fried green tomatoes appetizer! Thin as potato chips, not greasy, crispy and warm!

Eight of us in our group. All of our menu selections we're terrific! The black bottom pie was wonderful! We will definitely be back next time we are in the area camping. Our waitress was great!

Gaines Ridge is THE place to go for dinner in Camden, AL. The restaurant is in a historic home dating back to the 1800’s sitting on beautiful acreage. Dinner was nearly perfect. Waitress was simply delightful. Owner stopped by to make sure all was well. All a winning combination. We enjoyed a steak and shrimp scampi with baked potatoes and freshly made salads. Like everything at Gaines Ridge, their salad dressings are home made. But whatever you order ... save room for dessert. We enjoyed black bottom pie which was a slice of pure heaven. The waitress said it is one of those AL things you have to have before you die, and she was so right. Highly recommend Gaines Ridge. Great food ... great service ... charming old south atmosphere .... all at a very reasonable price.

Simply the best. My wife and I had the rare opportunity for a date night and we were both super excited to get to go back to Gaines Ridge. I'd put Mrs Betty Kennedy's Ribeye up against any! The fried pickles and onion rings appetizers..... perfect. Thanks for a great evening and a wonderful meal! Gaines Ridge is a treasure.

Been going to this diamond in the rough for many, many years. Not necessarily a Michelin starred meal, per se, but a unique Southern dining experience in an antebellum setting. The owner, Mrs Kennedy, makes everyone feel special and at home, and the wait staff are the friendliest in the world. Have also been to many weddings and special occasion parties here over the years. A rural Alabama must.
